When and where is the Air and Space Power Conference 2024 dinner being held?
Tuesday 7 May 2024 at the National Arboretum. Registration will be required to attend the dinner. Dinner tickets must be purchased in the same transaction as your conference registration, and are not available for purchase separately.
When and where is the Air and Space Power Conference 2024 reception being held?
For military it will be the dress of the day (no GPU’s) and for civilians, it will be business attire.
What is the recommended dress code for the dinner?
Dinner dress details will be advised as part of your dinner ticket registration.
Where can I go for assistance or information?
Please see our event staff in the Conference Office on the ground floor and they will be able to assist!

Can I register to attend the conference onsite?
Unfortunately, we are unable to facilitate on-site registration. All attendees must register in advance through our online registration system. Click HERE to register.
Early-Bird Registration?
Early-bird registration will be available to purchase from Monday 15 Jan – Friday 23 Feb 2024.
What does the in-person registration include?
The in-person registration will include access to both days of the conference, arrival tea and coffee, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and conference reception on Wednesday evening. All in person registrations will include a link to the virtual component.

Is there single-day registration available for a multi-day event?
No, you will need to register for the entire event.
After completing the registration, will I receive an email confirmation?
Yes. If you do not receive your email confirmation within 24 hours, please check your email spam folder and then contact us by emailing on raaf.events@defence.gov.au
Are hotel accommodations included in the registration fee?
The cost of the hotel accommodation and travel is not included in the registration fee. Attendees are responsible for their own accommodation and travel costs. Please check the event site for the hotel information and how to book your accommodation.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my registration?
If you would like a refund of fees paid, requests must be made in writing to raaf.events@defence.gov.au. Refunds will be processed after taking into consideration the relevant cancellation policy as stated below, within 7 business days of receiving a refund request.
All credit card surcharges payable at the time of registration are non-refundable.
Refunds will only be processed to the credit card of the individual, organisation or institution from which the payment was received.
If I cannot attend, can I give my registration to someone else?
If you are unable to attend, you may nominate a replacement delegate at no cost, contact Air Force Events via email on raaf.events@defence.gov.au
Can we share one registration between different people?
Each individual must be registered for the event. The registration cannot be shared.
Cancellation Policy
Where permitted, you may cancel your registration. Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent by email to raaf.events@defence.gov.au
Please note, your cancellation will be subject to the following:
Cancellation more than 60 days before the event: 100% refund
Cancellation less than 60 days and more than 30 days before the event: 80% refund
Cancellation less than 30 days but more than 14 days before the event: 50% refund
Cancellation 14 days or less, no refund
Can you take my registration details over the phone?
No. You must register online.
Yes, there will be a photographer and videographer capturing components of the event.
Do I need to register for the conference in order to attend?
Yes, due to capacity restrictions and catering requirements all attendees must register.

What if I am not able to attend in-person?
This year's Conference will be a hybrid event. If you are not able to join us in-person, you can still access the sessions via the virtual platform.
Virtual registrations are available until Tuesday 7 May 2024.
The day before the event, you will receive a reminder with your unique login details. This will also contain a link that will automatically login to your account and access the event page. If you don't receive the email, please contact the conference organisers on raaf.events@defence.gov.au
No, each user must register for themselves. Please note, multiple users cannot log on using a single log in detail.
We are not looking at sponsorship for the 2024 Air and Space Power Conference.

What meals will be included at the conference?
Arrival tea and coffee, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided for both the days. There will be a welcome reception on Wednesday evening in the foyer of the National Convention Centre.

Who can attend the welcome reception?
All conference delegates are invited to attend the Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening. Attendance is included with your registration.
In-Person Attendees: I requested a special meal, who should I see about this?
Please see our event staff in the Conference Office on the ground floor and they will be able to assist!
Passes will be available for collection at the National Convention Centre Conference Office during the following times: TBA
Please note, passes will need to be worn at all time’s whilst on site at the venue.
When you arrive please go directly to the conference registration desk to present your ID and collect your event pass. Conference staff will be onsite to assist you.
Australian Government law prohibits smoking in enclosed places including workplaces, shopping centres, hotels, restaurants and airports. Smoking is also prohibited in Australian Government vehicles. Delegates may incur a fine if they are fond to be smoking in a non-smoking environment. Smoking areas available for delegates at the National Convention Centre Canberra will be clearly indicated. A general No Smoking policy applies throughout the entire Arboretum site; including forests and venues. This also applies to all guests attending private functions and public events at the Arboretum. As per the ACT Government guidelines, the National Arboretum Canberra does not allow the use of personal vaporisers or electronic cigarettes on site.
Limited storage facility will be available at the cloak room located at the National Convention Centre Canberra’s reception area.
A designated prayer room will be available at the National Convention Centre Canberra.
Convenient, secure, underground car parking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the National Convention Centre Canberra. The Centre has 480 parking spots, with internal lift access from the top level. The height restriction of the car park is 1.9 metres. You can find the entrance to the underground car park on Constitution Avenue, between the venue and the Airservices Australia building.

Visa and quarantine
It is necessary for delegates traveling from abroad to acquire a visa prior to their arrival in Australia. It is recommended to initiate the visa application process at least two months prior to the scheduled departure. Please note that failure to obtain a visa will not warrant a refund of any fees or expenses paid towards the conference. Additionally, it is important to be aware of Australia's stringent quarantine regulations that are enforced at all international airports and entry points.
